EcoMetrics LLC is partnering with Faunaphotonics/eVolito to develop and integrate an enhanced approach that more accurately measures biodiversity uplift using insect activity as an indicator. The approach uses field collected data to identify and quantify a composite metric for biodiversity uplift, which EcoMetrics uses to determine the value created by the uplift. This approach allows for a more accurate assessment of uplift using real data, but significantly reduces the time, cost, and uncertainty necessary to count individual species, especially before it is known which one is most critical to the project. Biodiversity has always been a co-benefit of nature based solutions measured and valued by EcoMetrics, but this new approach makes the process even better.
