The goal of these report cards is to bridge the reporting gap between conservation and industry in order to accelerate investments in conservation and show the value of local conservation as a component of ESG strategy. To determine Impact Quantification for the UN SDG Report Cards Texan by Nature worked with ecosystem service value experts at EcoMetrics to quantify locally-resolved economic metrics valuing the conservation work being done in Texas.
As the world’s 9th largest economy, the impact of conservation in Texas goes far beyond the borders of the Lonestar state. Whether acting as a global model or through direct impact, on the ground conservation in Texas addresses many of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
Texan by Nature (TxN) is excited to share report cards that articulate the science-based impact of conservation activities measured against the global UN SDG framework.
